John Cole, Regional Director of Business Development, Arizona

John Cole serves as regional director of business development for Omniflight Helicopters, Inc., based in the company’s Mesa, Arizona office. In this capacity, he is responsible for working directly with Omniflight’s customer base, focusing on the forging and maintaining of relationships; establishing contracts; and ensuring the delivery of unparalleled customer service.

Prior to joining Omniflight, Cole was director of operations at Southwest Ambulance and Rural Metro Fire, also in Mesa. While in this role, he oversaw daily EMS and Fire operations for more than 1,200 employees and was responsible for the emergency care of nearly 5.5 million people, located throughout the state. Before moving to Arizona in YEAR, he was division general manager of New Mexico, where he handled operations as well as the development of emergency medical services (EMS) protocols statewide.

Cole started his EMS career in Southern Arizona in the 1990s, where he served in various roles, including those spanning operations, fleet services, warehousing and communications. Cole was also responsible for the achieving the first accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) for a ground EMS provider in Arizona.

Cole is a nationally registered EMT-B; an ASE Certified Master Mechanic; and a past president of Rotary International.


Marla Hardy,
Regional Director of Business Development: Idaho, Montana, New Mexico and Texas

Marla Hardy serves as business development director for Omniflight's Native Air subsidiary, which provides air medical transport services throughout New Mexico and West Texas. Marla also supports the Idaho and Montana markets. In this position, she manages customer service and handles business development efforts across the entire region, while providing direction and support to the business development managers who oversee these areas.

Hardy has been employed in a range of positions since joining Omniflight in 2004. Most recently, she was business development manager, where she was responsible for maintaining customer service throughout New Mexico and West Texas. Prior roles she held include regional clinical manager, which encompassed the overseeing of daily base operations for 13 bases in New Mexico and Texas. She also was base coordinator and flight nurse- at the company's Hobbs, New Mexico location.

Before joining the company, Hardy held several emergency services-related positions including working as an emergency nurse and a firefighter.

Currently, Hardy is working toward earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
