OMNIFLIGHT HELICOPTERS, INC. NAMES RICK RAMBO VICE PRESIDENT OF CLINICAL SERVICESDecember 1, 2008 ADDISON, Tex… December 1, 2008 …Omniflight Helicopters, Inc., a leading national provider of air medical services, announced today that it named Rick Rambo, JD, RN to the post of vice president, clinical services. In this capacity, Rambo, who will report directly to Anthony J. DiNota, president and chief operating officer, will be responsible for all clinical operations for the company, including clinical education and support, clinical base-level guidance and direction and clinical quality assurance. He also will coordinate activities with medical directors at various air medical services programs across the nation with whom the company contracts. Rambo brings more than 20 years of healthcare industry experience to his new position. Most recently, he was campus chief nursing officer/director of nursing, for Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital in Tempe, Ariz. where he oversaw all clinical operations for the campus. He served as clinical operations administrator for this 108-bed for-profit hospital. Prior, he spent four years as a registered nurse in staff and leadership roles for St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. He also served in various nursing roles at MSN Healthcare Staffing in Salt Lake City and at the University of Utah Health Sciences, also in Salt Lake City. During his extensive career, Rambo founded AccessAbility Inc., which provided consultancy and support services to businesses and government for ensuring compliance with the Americans for Disabilities Act (ADA). Rambo began his career as a member of the Nurse Corps of the United States Air Force, where he served in both domestic and international operations handling assignments as a flight nurse for the Flying Ambulance Surgical Trauma Team (FASTT), working with critically ill patients including those diagnosed with Battle Trauma Injury (BTI). “This opportunity with Omniflight affords me the chance to put my business acumen and clinical skills to work within the air medical services arena. My background has allowed me to work in various facets of the healthcare industry including as a flight nurse, allowing me to understand firsthand both the challenging business and clinical requirements as well as the importance and expectations of air medical service providers. We welcome Rick to our team and are excited about the contributions he will make in his new role.” Rambo, 42, will relocate to Omniflight’s corporate office in Addison, Tex., while also maintaining a residence in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a licensed registered nurse, Interstate Compact in Utah. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He also holds an Associate of Science degree in Nursing, from Marymount University in Arlington, Va.
