SOUTHWEST MED EVAC RECEIVES ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR AWARDMARCH 7, 2008 Synder, Tex. … March 7, 2008 … Omniflight Helicopters, Inc. announced today that its Southwest Med Evac division was named the recipient of the South Plains Emergency Medical Systems (SPEMS) Public or Private Organization of the Year Award. South Plains Emergency Medical Systems (SPEMS) Public or Private Organization of the Year Award recognizes exemplary performance exhibited by pre-hospital emergency response organizations operating within a 100-mile radius of Lubbock. There is one winner per year. Southwest Med Evac was nominated and selected by area hospitals and EMS providers. This award represents excellence in patient care, operations and safety. The award was presented to Southwest Med Evac at a recent awards luncheon during SPEMS annual conference. Southwest Med Evac operates four air medical bases that serve the SPEMS coverage area. “We are humbled to receive an award of this magnitude. SPEMS is charged with the development and growth of emergency services in the region.
